North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS) 2015

Kicks Off Tomorrow in Louisville, KY

Scheduled for March 6-8, NAHBS readies to showcase

the best of the handmade bicycle world

BOULDER, COLO. (For Immediate Release) – The North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS), the premier venue and showcase for the craft-built bicycle market, is ready to kick of the 2015 show starting tomorrow, Friday, March 6th at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, KY. The show will be open to the public Friday 10-6, Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-5. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

With over 130 exhibitors and several hundred attendees preregistered for the show, NAHBS is shaping up to be a well-attended and vibrant event. Offering a wide variety of hand-crafted bicycles, accessories, and apparel, NAHBS has something for anyone from die-hard cycling fanatics to those just curious about a unique industry focused on craftsmanship.

“Each year, my team and I put countless hours of hard work into making this show a reality so we’re very excited to see all of our efforts come to fruition,” said Don Walker, Founder and President of NAHBS. “I love hosting a platform for independent frame builders from around the world to come together and showcase their creations.”

NAHBS works to create an engaging atmosphere and will be hosting a variety of special events and seminars during this year’s show.

NAHBS is partnering with REEB Cycles and Gates Carbon Drive to host the NAHBS Kickoff Party Thursday night from 8-12 at Patrick O’Shea’s Irish Pub in Louisville. Like the NAHBS show itself, this event will be open to the public.

Louisville Mayor and bicycle advocate Greg Fischer will be stopping by the show on Saturday March 7th at 1pm to proclaim the weekend of March 6-8 as “Bike Weekend” in Louisville. The team at NAHBS is excited about the recognition and looking forward to having him join the show.

Each year, the NAHBS Awards highlight those builders who go the extra mile to create bikes that truly stand out from the rest and best embody the artisanal nature of NAHBS. 2015 is no exception and 17 different awards will be handed out during the show, including Best Road Bike, Best Mountain Bike, President’s Choice, and People’s Choice. Judging will happen on Friday with awards handed out Saturday and Sunday.

Nomadic by nature, NAHBS will be in Louisville this year only, scheduled to arrive in a different city for 2016. This year’s show will be a unique opportunity for anyone in the region to experience the craftsmanship and passion that fuel the handmade bicycle community.
