Plan on 90 minutes or so to ride to Cherokee Park, do the trails and ride back to the hotel.

Lead by Don Walker Cycles Racing Team Member, Adam Glass
Note: Ride will be canceled if trails are in bad shape. No need tearing them up more.

Sunday NAHBS Road Ride:

The Sunday NAHBS Road Ride will be a scenic tour of Southern Indiana.

The route begins at the Flat 12 Bierwerks on the Jeffersonville riverfront, which is easily accessible from the Big Four pedestrian bridge. (less than a mile away from the Galt House Hotel)

Meets at 7:15 and departs at 7:30

The 34 mile ride will amble throughout the historic towns of Clarksville and New Albany. The beginning of the ride will be flat but the middle will bring the highlight of the ride, the climbing.
Expect to do 1400 feet of climbing. Corydon Pike is the major climb of the day. Quarry Road will give glimpses of the Louisville skyline but those vistas will be trumped by the panoramic view that leads to the Spickert Knob descent. (We will be courteous and wait for the group to reassemble on the climbs).

Saddle time will be 2 ish hours and pace will be conversation speed and a bit faster.

Recommended gearing is approximately a 39 x 25 for the major climb.

The Ride Captain will be Don Walker Racing Cycle team member Keith Morlen.
